1. I hate ignoramus jologs people. They make me cringe to death.
2. I don't know how to draw. My second choice was Advertising in CFAD before. I failed.
3. I hate writing even if I have a Journalism degree and I used to write in the news section of The Varsitarian. People say I can write, but I think otherwise. For me, my thoughts are better spoken than written.
4. I'm not most girls, I am not fond of chocolates. Not that I hate 'em; they're just not my favorite.
5. If a thing comes in pink I'll probably buy it. Pronto! :)
6. I have this inclination with needles and pain. I love piercings and tattoos. I used to have 10 piercings: 3 in each ear, tongue, right eyebrow, lip, and navel. Now I only have 2 in each ear, a tongue ring, and a navel ring. I have two tattoos: one below my nape and the other one at my lower back and I'm planning to get more. I'll keep you posted. :p
7. I hate Math but I love rounding off things and reasons. To me, everything's all or nothing.
8. I am not a religious person but I know by heart all the generic prayers, the 10 Commandments, 7 Capital Sins, couple of feast days, novena days, the whole Holy Mass, the Council of Trent and the Council of Nicaea, and other Catholicism what-nots more than some "devout" Catholics out there.
9. I don't sing. Well, okay I do. But not in public because I secretly wonder if I am tone deaf or something. And when I sing my heart out I become so sleepy. Please, don't ask me why coz I don't know either.
10. I love/like/enjoy kissing girls. Well, not just girls but hot, sexy, really gorgeous chicks. I get really attracted to them. Too bad, I don't have a "gay-dar." But please, don't associate me with Katy Perry, over my hot dead body.
11. I used to be a freaking ugly duckling before. Think saber tooth, super short hair, bad eyebrows, goth style gone wrong. Ask the people from my high school and college days. I won't mind.
12. I think differently. Very differently. My logic is twisted for most people but hey, it works for me.
13. I have been in a relationship for 6 years, 1 month, 19 days with 3 different people at a certain period of time, overlapping consecutively.
14. I loooove seafood. I can have seafood everyday for the rest of my life. By seafood I mean prawns, crabs, mussels, clams, et. al. I eat fish but to me they're the most boring of all sea creatures.
15. I don't eat Italian. Ulk. My boyfriend does. I eat Japanese. He doesn't. We make it work. :)
16. I am very, very malambing and very expressive. I look tough and unforgiving but I do baby talks and create imaginary worlds. (Damn! I am mortified.) You can ask my boyfriend all about it. :p
17. I seldom drink water. I can drink a liter of soda but I can't finish a glass of water.
18. Sex to me is not to be spoken about. It's about to be done. But you can ask, and I'll answer anyway.
19. If my words could kill, I'd be a mass murderer.
20. I loathe stupid, mindless, slow people. They make the world all the more difficult. I wish they're all dead.
21. I seldom follow trends. When I do, it's because I consciously want to follow them.
22. I smoke like a chimney but I don't want smelling and inhaling other people's cigs/smokes. It's gad damn annoying.
23. I can outgrow things, forget memories, and lose contact with people easily.
24. I don't like nice "I love God, my family, my boyfriend, my friends, and the whole world" type of girls; they turn out to be the bitchier ones.
25. I know I may look like a whore, but I am definitely not. :)

RJ Ledesma is now the Editor in Chief of UNO Magazine?! That’s what we said.
Significant changes are in tow. And we have just got the right guy (he convinced us to put this) for the job. In his backpack are successful stints on TV as leading man to gorgeous actresses like Anne Curtis and Kristine Hermosa, a one-year reign as Mr. Philippines, a best-selling suspense novel and a Time Magazine cover. Okay, now back to RJ. Hmm. RJ. RJ, RJ, RJ. Well, he’s UNO’s new Editor in Chief. That’s our news. Oh, he also conceptualized, produced and starred in “The Men’s Room,” was one of the hosts for Magandang Umaga Bayan, has a regular column in the Philippine Star called “Pogi from a Parallel Universe,” former editor-in-chief of another mens magazine, and is a best-selling author of the humor book “Lies My Yaya Should Have Told Me.”

Sequence of the Sequins
Saturday, October 18, 2008
10/18/2008 11:40:00 AM
Sequins are definitely back! And they're not just back on the runway, but they're back on the streets, as well.
The sequins seem to start owning up to their hidden luster as they are brightening the catwalk for three straight years.
Nanette Lepore at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week - Fall 2007
LucaLuca at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week - Fall 2007
Naeem Khan at Fall Fashion Week 2007
Tracey Reese at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week - Spring 2008
Michael Kors at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week - Spring 2008
Vera Wang''s Fall 2008 Collection
New York Fashion Week - Spring 2009
With a futuristic avant-garde luxe look with fluid, light-reflective pieces and a streamlined aesthetic executed with draping, pleating, and bias-cuts, it gives gaudy, intergalactic, and alien-esque designs a run for their money.
As if the world doesn't have enough glitz and sparkle, these little razzle-dazzles have been a red carpet-favorite as well.
Sequins have guested in our favorite TV series...
Serena van der Woodsen's Tony Burch Sleeveless Sequined Dress
Blair Waldorf's L.A.M.B. Sequined Argyle Cardigan (in blue)
...And have also conquered the silver screen.
Carrie Bradshaw's Chloe Sequined Dress from Sex and the City - The Movie Now, the infamous Converse's Chuck Taylor launched another line Chuck Taylor® All Star® Sequins with a celebrate attitude. Known for it's old school 80's vibe, Converse relives the era all over again in a discotheque chic as if the disco ball is not enough over your head that it should be definitely on your feet.
Although I have traded wearing sneakers for sky-scraper heels two years ago, Chucks will always be the kicks of my choice.
The sequin Chucks are way fun in the most perfect mesh of glam-meets-street attitude.

My 22nd Happy Birthday. (Part Deux)
Sunday, October 12, 2008
10/12/2008 05:49:00 PM
A day after the bad hang-over and work in the office was the day before my birthday, October 3rd. That Friday night we went on with me and my former work friends plan to go out and party at Embassy (again!) -- sort of like my second celebration.
To break the tradition, I opted to celebrate my birthday in a very simple chic look -- blue Victoria's Secret top, black absolutely skinny jeans, and a pair of patent wedge heelies to match the black Cole Vintage black patent over-sized clutch bag then I jazzed it all up with accessories. To wear a pink flesh-bearing outfit would totally spell "predictable," at least in my case.
This time Tattiepie's with me to celebrate my birthday, but before we went to the club he gave me a dulce de leche cake from Sugarhouse which I truly enjoyed. =)
My friends from my former work, Janice, Lai, and Jelai, and Janice's and Lai's plus ones, Cesai and Don came to celebrate my actual birth date with me.
More pics to come from Lai's cam. I just have to wait for Lai to actually upload them. ATTENTION! Maria Sheila Brosas! Pics please... =D
Rainne was there again, too, as one of the usual suspects and she tagged her friends, Shy and Jacqui along with her.
Unfortunately, the other usual suspects, Joanarc and Chinkee are M.I.A. Boo! =(
Amidst our partying, Rainne noticed something peculiar about Shy's one-piece dress and that girl behind her. It was a big fashion no-no at a party but we just laughed about it and it was all good. =D
The Snap, Crackle, and Pop party at Embassy Fly Room was totally jam-packed that right after I escorted Jelai, Lai, and Don on their way out, the bouncers held the entrance to the Fly room up and I was unable to get in anymore.
However, Rainne pulled the right strings and introduced me to my NFF, Anjela and she got my boyfriend and I in at Jaipur's VIP area. You see, I'm not a real fan of Jaipur but since it was at the VIP, we thought we might as well take it, than squish are way back to the per usual Embassy.
On a side note, I so love her yellow hoodie dress designed by Meagan Aguilar.
So my boyfriend, Rainne, Jacqui and Shy continued the party at Jaipur with Anjela.
Define funny. Anjela even thought that my boyfriend and I were foreigners, like Latinos or something, who don't speak in Filipino. She was so relieved that well, not only we speak in Filipino, I also speak her language. =P
Through Anjela I met her friend, Mal who was very drunk but nonetheless super duper sweet. =) Anjela also got me and my boyfriend several rum colas through the night and she even asked the Stratosphere DJ to give me a birthday greeting which echoed through the whole club.
I had so much fun. My birthday seemed just like the perfect traditional wedding.
There's something old which represents my bond with my former work friends. It is symbolic of my continuing friendship with them.
Then there's something new which represents my NFFs and the new fun experiences we shared with each other that night. It symbolizes good luck and success and my hopes for a bright future in my 22nd year in this planet.
There's also something familiar which represents that my boyfriend will always be there for me, not only on my special day but in the future, as well.
And there's something blue. Although, in ancient times is the symbol of faithfulness, purity and loyalty. I'm not really sure if my birthday has something to do with love, modesty, and fidelity.A coincidence or not, maybe it's just trying to tell me something about the importance of these things, especially that since I'm a year older, I also should be a year wiser. My 22nd Happy Birthday. (Part Une)
10/12/2008 10:52:00 AM
And so it was my 22nd happy birthday a little over a week ago. Days prior my birthday celebration was a big stressful not-fun-at-all blur. Not to mention that I am naturally scroogey when it comes to my birthdays.
My birthday will just be an annual reminder or a pop-up alert that my days to be successful are numbered and well-monitored. In short, my age is inversely proportional to the number of years I ought to be successful. And that exact thought just puts a lot of pressure to myself.
However, I think the universe conspired for me to celebrate my birthday. As i have mentioned in my multiply account, Superfly Manila and Embassy Fly gave me a mini birthday bash for free at their House Central Wednesday event; like "come bring your friends and we will give you free drinks" kind of thing.
It was an all-too-sudden thing, since I was already set for a simple Embassy night-out last Friday with my former work friends for my birthday salubong (but, that is another story.) So anyway, I invited everyone in my phone book but the thing is my line gut cut-off so I had the use my boyfriend's number. I got a handful of declines, since it was a Wednesday night and it's finals' week at school. I aslo foundnd it hard to contact everyone and since I was using a different number, some of my geniuses friends thought it was a joke. Fun-ney.
But I can't blame them though. I am not really into this kind of invite people thing. I don't like organizing things or events for myself (i.e. my birthday.)
So Wednesday came and after a couple more mix ups, slip ups, and what-not's, me, my superfriends, the usual suspects, and their friends were found at Embassy Main Room. We just thought we're still too young for the house scene, so we just hung at Styles Entertainment's Superklasse Wednesday at the main room for the usual hip-hop night.
Kat's not really into this bar-scene type of thing. But for her to be there, it made my happy birthday all the more special.
With her 2 friends, Gilson and Eric who are actually boyfriends.
Chinkee's "alleged" ex-boyfriends are there too, Stanley and Erwin. Stan did a wonderful job in taking charge of some of the photos because our perennial photogs-man a.k.a. my boyfriend wasn't there. =(
My birthday celebration also served as a reunion night-out of the superfriends... of MY superfriends.
Our looks have changed and we're in different places now. We might have been hurt, scorned, tainted, or damaged... but six years after, we're still standing looking gorgeous and fabulous as ever. I just love these girls to bits! =)
And there were also the usual suspects, my now-regular hang-out girlfriends, Rainne and Chinkee, and their pretty-pretty friend, Nikki. This is what "Camwhores United" look like.
Two hours after, Paul and Annette came! It was my first time to see Annette party and dang! She worked it! =D
A little bit of mingling and introducing...
They warmed up to each other and we had a blast.
Everybody's friends with everybody, exactly the way I wanted it to happen.
And the fun just kept on getting better and better.
The signs of the times that everybody's just having a good time.
A little bit later, maybe because our group was having too much fun, a photogs-man from Styles approached us for photo-ops.
To sum that Wednesday night up, I got drunk; thus, explains the morning-after hang-over.
After that night, I have come to realize that aging a year is not really so bad. It will make you a year older and (hopefully) a year wiser. It's really nice to celebrate life with good people exuding good vibes and just having a good time.
...and yeah, of course... it's nice to celebrate and party when you have friends who have really good DNAs to boot.
So, happy birthday to me. And hopefully more drinks to come.
To be continued...

Lily, Me Likey!
Thursday, October 09, 2008
10/09/2008 12:14:00 AM
She had once become the face (or the doll-face, I should say) for Moschino's perfume 'I Love Love.' The doll-faced English girl that is fashioned with long limbs, clad in porcelain skin and crowned with a fiery red hair.
She's Lily Cole!
The red-headed-supposedly-dating-Jude-Law supermodel has graced the pages of Italian Vogue, Numero, Citizen K, V, among many other top fashion glossy magazines. She has also been the muse of numerous ad campaigns and international runways for top fashion houses of renowned designers like Prada, Chanel, Christian Lacroix, Hermes, Longchamp, Cacheral, Topshop, Anna Sui Cosmetics, De Beers, Jean Paul Gaultier, Alexander McQueen, John Galliano, Louis Vuitton, Giles Deacon and Julien Macdonald.
And after making us feel bad about wearing a pair of socks, now, the 2004 British Fashion Awards Model of the Year is photographed in a cover of an infamous and a-little-bit-too risqué magazine wearing nothing but one. Lily is the cover of Playboy for the month of October. Albeit the bear-hugging nudity, this does not impress me much because it bears the same dead-ish supposedly-marionette-doll look on her face.
However, I have no idea that she has a pair of gorgeous breasts to boot and that she can pull off looks like these:
With the Lolita-ish, nonetheless vixenish flavor of the October ish, Lily getting nakey in Playboy is an addition to her much talked about exhibitionist streak.
Oh! me Lord. God save the Queen!
